AspenBio Pharma, Inc. is an emerging biotechnology company engaged in the discovery, research, development, manufacture, and licensing or marketing of novel diagnostics and drugs for human and animal healthcare.
Founded in August 2000, and headquartered in Castle Rock, Colorado, we leverage our proprietary knowledge and technology towards the development of novel patented or patentable products we believe have substantial market potential.
We have a growing product pipeline including a novel human diagnostic blood test for appendicitis and recombinant reproduction hormones in development for animals of economic importance. The company is heavily focused on the development, testing and regulatory clearance of our first-generation blood-based human diagnostic test designed to rapidly aid in the diagnosis of appendicitis in patients complaining of abdominal pain. We filed and received our pre-investigational device exemption (“IDE”) application from the US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) Office of In Vitro Diagnostic Device Evaluation and Safety (“OIVD”) for our first test, AppyScore™, and are now in the final stages completing FDA 510(k) clearance requirements in order to file our application.
We have also initiated our Food and Drug Administration application with Investigational New Animal Drug Application (“INADA”) filings for our recombinant hormones and have recently entered into a worldwide license agreement covering our bovine recombinant products with Novartis Animal Health, one of the world’s leading animal health companies.
